Our Heat Merchants branch in Naas, Co Kildare, currently require a Stores Assistant.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

You will primarily be responsible for looking after the stores of the Branch, unloading deliveries and putting away stock, updating paperwork on the system to accurately record stock, whilst also maintaining a good standard of housekeeping of the stores area.

You will also assist with sales enquiries/ transactions and maintaining high standards of customer care within the branch.

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Unloading deliveries and putting into stock in correct locations
  • Monitoring customer orders and deliveries
  • Ensure the correct reporting of damaged stock
  • Housekeeping in particular for the stores area ensuring walkways are free from trip hazards and goods in correct locations
  • As and when required, respond to sales enquiries either by phone or over the counter, provide advice, and information to customers
  • As and when required prepare quotations and ensure maximum level of sales and margin are achieved
  • Participate in stock take when required
  • Adherence of all Health & Safety rules and procedures
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Previous stores experience preferably from same or similar industry
  • Forklift experience
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Demonstrate flexibility within the role
  • Basic Computer Skills

Desirable

  • Heating & Plumbing Product Knowledge
  • Current forklift Licence
