Responsibilities:
PepsiCo is on the look-out for a Maintenance Engineering Co-Ordinator Supervisor to join our technical function and be part of our engineering team in Cork on a permanent basis.

We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. Role Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance/Plant Engineering Manager, the maintenance co-ordinator/supervisor will organise the reactive, preventive maintenance and statutory compliance schedules for plant equipment and facilities across the Little Island site.
  • Providing technical guidance and direction to both in-house team and external contractors adhering to all technical and safety requirements to deliver on plant metrics. Provide updates and system data to the Maintenance/Plant Engineering Manager and Global Maintenance Program lead monthly.
  • Ensure the maintenance team and maintenance activities adhere to the site’s Health and Safety and Quality policies & procedures
  • The co-ordinator/supervisor will liaise with the Electrical/Mechanical/Stores and plant Engineering teams on the implementation of the site’s maintenance strategy and will provide timely reports on the maintenance KPI’s and drive asset utilization and performance, reduce equipment failure and downtime
  • The co-ordinator/supervisor will also provide administrative support to the team on a day-to-day basis, as required.
  • Log and manage incoming maintenance & facilities service-related calls on the site’s computerized maintenance management system (SAP PM). Work actions will be issued by phone, email, Work Order etc.
  • Partner/liaise with the relevant functions for equipment access, monitor work order execution, and follow up to ensure close out and completion of maintenance & facilities works on site in a timely and safe manner and as per the program
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating the repair and maintenance of facilities and plant equipment across the site. This includes review of method statements, risk assessments, LOTO and issuing of work permits and review and signoff of service reports etc.
  • Support the maintenance department in Six Sigma approach to problem solving, root cause investigation and major breakdown reports, reliability centred maintenance
  • Monitor and co-ordinate the reactive & preventative maintenance schedules activities executed by contractor/external vendor such as air handling, chillers and the fire alarm system, etc. Demonstrate maintenance activities and performance to all relevant Auditor requirements/requests (H&S, Food Safety, Statutory etc)
  • Ensuring the Maintenance and Stores activities complies to the relevant controls/requirements
  • Verification of contractor work completion and authorising payment of invoices accurately/timely
  • Management of contractor database including service reports, test reports and certification
  • Lead facilities maintenance activities and develop strategy further
  • Support project & equipment handover, ensure all new equipment is added to CMMS and all maintenance work tasks are developed as per recommendation (site requirements, vendor recommendations etc).
  • Ownership of plant technical, quality, food safety and health and safety standards, participate in other projects, as and when required
Qualifications:
Essential Criteria
  • 3rd level qualification with an Engineering focus/accreditation in any of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Building Services Management etc. and/or equivalent demonstrated experience, working in this capacity.
  • Min 5 years engineering/ technical experience in a manufacturing environment with significant people management of frontline unionized employees.
  • Ability to track and manage ordering of supplies and services. Experience of managing suppliers to achieve on-time and on-cost performance
  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of Plant maintenance
  • Solid understanding and experience of Plant and facilities technologies
  • PLC & SCADA control system
  • Fire Alarm and fire protection system
  • Air handling & HVAC system
  • Boiler and compressed air systems

  • Computer skills required include MS Office/ Excel/ PowerPoint/MS Teams. Additional AutoCAD/ MS Project,
  • Ability to analyse service reports and statutory compliance requirements and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner, with precise attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Observe HSE regulations, encourages safe working practices and assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management
  • Demonstrated experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM)
