We are looking to recruit for a position within our Group Sales team; the role of Group Travel Trade Sales Executive with a base location in Central Office, Sandyford, Dublin 18. This is an exciting and varied role which requires an energetic and motivated individual with a good background in a proactive sales function through account management processes and ideally leisure sales hospitality experience. The environment is fast paced and for the appropriate candidate an excellent opportunity exists to develop within this role.

Reporting directly to the Group Travel Trade Sales Manager for guidance, support, day to day segment activity & performance, the role requires an ability to work on one’s initiative and ensure effective promotion & booking of the brand and group in the key market segment of leisure groups & tour operators. The candidate should be pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets. He/she should also have the ability to execute effectively a focussed sales plan for the agreed market segments & key accounts, be accountable and work to agreed measured KPIs.

Key Duties & Objectives
  • To assist the Group Travel Trade Sales Manager in their role of maximizing Group & FIT revenue throughout Dalata Hotel Group ensuring effective management of key tour & leisure operators through developing and maintaining relationships while recognising and capitalising on all opportunities from these existing accounts to maintain them to their optimum level.
  • To constantly recognise and develop all new opportunities across the market segment.
  • Co-ordination of group quotations & meal bookings with hotels across the Group and tour operators in a timely fashion.
  • To participate fully in all sales activities including telecalls, making appointments for face-to-face meetings and entertaining through effective planning & time management.
  • Attendance, booking appointments and planning of Travel Trade Shows & Fairs throughout the calendar year noting that International travel is also a requirement.
  • Analyse monthly production reports and develop business from same with the Group Travel Trade Sales team.
  • To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence including the execution of proposals, contracts and statistics.
  • Maintain up to date client databases and the CRM system.

In addition:
  • Administration & preparation of reports
  • Assisting with FAM trips where required
  • Coach & develop intern within travel trade function

Experience Required
  • Ideally 2 years directly related leisure sales experience within hospitality industry
  • Strong client relationship skills and account management experience at all levels
  • Highly organised, strong team player and ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Strong communication & time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, spelling & grammar
  • Extremely proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word & Powerpoint
  • Driven towards maximising sales and achieving market segment budgets
  • Experience working with a CRM
