We are currently seeking exiting graduate/s of the built environment or a relevant field who share a keen interest in Research and Development. The role is suited to skilled collaborator/s with focused systematic and interpretive skills. The candidate should be creative, self-motivated and have the ability to think creatively in a vibrant collaborative working environment. A strong demonstrable competency in verbal, written and graphic communication is essential.

The role will include assisting the Henry J Lyons, Research Group:

  • Conducting research in the fields of environmental research, embodied carbon, sustainable building performance, life cycle analysis, prototyping, fabrication, post-occupancy evaluation, technology, parametric design, material performance, planning, urban design, market specific research and publications etc.
  • Assisting with development of research based projects, feeding in to the overall practice.
  • Engaging with industry partners and collaborators
  • Coordinating with in-house project and leadership teams to implement the outcomes of the research learnings.
  • Communicating and publishing research findings and outputs to the broader Henry J Lyons team and Industry.

The successful candidate/s will be expected to have a self-driven, hands on approach to both technical and administrative work streams across multiple simultaneous fields of study. Key personnel skill will include:

  • Strong 3D visualisations representation
  • Strong model making skills
  • Intuitive mindset
  • Proactive and quick to learn

Key Skills Required:

  • BArch/MArch, BSc/BA or MSc from relevant field
  • Adobe Suite.
  • Autodesk Autocad.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
