  • Excellent Communication and English speaking skills.
  • Positive can-do attitude with a great level of empathy and patience.
  • Sociable and approachable while being extremely dependable.
  • Full FETAC /QQI level 5 in Health Care Support or Care of the Older Persons and Care Skills Modules ORSNA Level 5.
  • Previous work experience in the disability field.
  • Full and in date drivers’ licence (preferred).
  • Have Garda Clearance or will pass Garda Clearance.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Flexible and available to work weekends.

*Job responsibilities:


  • Assisting client with all daily living needs
  • Encourage positive social interactions and maintain relationships with the person with a disability based on equality and respect that promotes their independence
  • Manage challenging behaviour as it arises with a respectful, person-centred approach
  • Help to provide comfort, security and a sense of belonging
  • Support the clients development in both personal and social skills
  • Liaising with care co-ordination team, supervisors and Managers
  • Food preparation and feeding
  • Assistance with mobility
  • Assistance with toileting
  • Medication prompting
  • Companionship
  • Carrying out domestic duties (e.g. Light housework, laundry, shopping, etc)
