Ballymascanlon Hotel& Golf Resortis currently recruiting for experiencedfull timeAssistant Front Office Manager to join the Team.

The Ballymascanlon House is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of this Hotel. It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.

  • To assist the FOM to manage and coordinate front office operations to provide the highest standards of service
  • To increase customer satisfaction by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous Front Office service connected with arriving and in-house guests
Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • To check the arrival list, conference guest list and VIP list and inform appropriate individuals of returning guests, VIPs and special guests.
  • To confirm dinner times and to ensure that allocation of rooms are correct for each group by liaising with Head Housekeeper
  • To manage the city ledger and liaise with accounts department
  • To review charges posted on management account, ensure that the dockets are signed by HODs and that the account is cleared daily
  • To ensure that the POS transfer is cleared by senior receptionist
  • To manage ReviewPro, review and respond to guest feedback
  • To demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel and effectively assists the hotel’s guests
  • To handle difficult situations effectively using a proactive approach to respond to negative comments and complaints, ensure use of the 100% guest service standard and that the Front Office Manager is notified as soon as possible for appropriate follow up
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility in working hours as role includes mornings/evenings & weekends, public holidays
  • Previous experience working in a Front Office environment is essential
